Hard surface floors

• Hard surface floors (wood and tile) are refinished once per year at no charge to the department. Requests for additional services are available at the current charge out rate.

Carpets

• Carpets are shampooed once per year at no charge to the department. Requests for additional shampooing are available at the current charge out rate.

• Spot clean walls
• Clean windows
• Replace light bulbs
• Replace toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towel dispensers in restrooms
• Spot mop floors (spills, etc.)
• Remove dust from surfaces (personal items/furniture/fixtures are not included with dusting)

Extra cleaning and services outside of our standard scope of services are available at a charge out rate to the requesting department. Labor and supplies are included in the charge out rate. All requested extra services require a work order submitted into Maximo.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

• Hardwood floors can be refinished at the current charge out rate to the requesting department.
• Hardwood floor refinishing must be scheduled in advance and planned accordingly with semester breaks.

Carpet Shampooing

• Carpets are shampooed once per year at no charge to the department.
• Additional carpet shampooing requests can be completed at the current charge out rate to the requesting department.
• Carpet shampooing should be scheduled at least one week in advance. Scheduling exceptions will be accommodated for special situations, such as large spills or water leaks.

Tiled Floor Refinishing

• Tiled floors are refinished once per year at no charge to the department.
• Additional tiled floor refinishing requests can be completed at the current charge out rate to the requesting department.
• Tiled floor refinishing requests must be scheduled at least one week in advance. Large areas may be required to be completed during a semester break.

• Extra cleaning and services for special events are provided at the current charge out rate to the requesting department.
• Advanced scheduling is required to provide services for special events.
• Special event examples include Career Fair, athletic events, concerts, and receptions.
